Play nine holes of inspiring golf on Muskeg Meadows, a course created in the middle of a rain forest on the outskirts of Wrangell. The course sits atop a foundation of byproducts from the once-flourishing timber industry. But perhaps the most unusual aspect of Muskeg Meadows is its “raven rule,” a local regulation that allows you to replace your ball without penalty if a cantankerous raven flies off with it. Still, it is the backdrop, a pure Alaskan setting of majestic snow-capped mountains, that sets the tone for this most memorable round of golf.
