AMAZING Key Lime Pie!

We visited Fireman Derek’s as part of Miami Culinary Tour and were treated to an AMAZING slice of Key Lime pie. We learned that Derek really was a fireman who is a self taught baker and was impressing his firehouse so much, they told him to go into business. That he did and we can all be thankful for that. The pie had the perfect amount of tart to sweet ratio that is the hallmark of an excellent key lime pie. Too often those pies are too sweet. My only regret is that it wasn’t within walking distance of our hotel or else we would have been back here for breakfast and dessert each day.
Do NOT miss Fireman Derek’s when you visit Miami. You can thank me later.
