VeGreen Vegetarian Fusion, Duluth Georgia

Vegetarian Fusion That Will Also Satisfy Carnivores

The Facts:

CUISINE: Asian – Vegetarian Fusion, ‘mock’ meats and sushi

LOCATION: 3780 Old Norcross Rd, Suite 106, Duluth, Georgia

My wife found this spot online as she is a vegetarian and looking at the menu, I was intrigued by the wealth of “mock meat products.” I eat pretty much anything you put in front of me and it was the vegetarian sushi that really intrigued me.

Ok, I’ll start with the ‘mock meat’ because it’s rare that you find a vegetarian place that serves a meat like product that can match the texture of the real thing. My wife got the Kung Pao “Chicken” and I have to say, not only was that delicious, but the texture and flavor of ‘chicken’ was very convincing. If I didn’t know it was a mock product, I could have been fooled. Really well done.

I had a hankering for sushi, so I started with the Spider Roll which was mushrooms, cucumber and carrots. Very tasty and a nice blending of flavors. I asked the waitress for another roll recommendation and she suggested the Green River Roll. Baked crab meat, cucumber and avocado. Have to say one of the most delicious sushi rolls I’ve ever had.  Really hard to believe both of these dishes were vegetarian.

As we looked around the restaurant there we families, business folks on lunch and couples. This is a great new spot in Duluth with super fresh food whether you’re a vegetarian, vegan or a regular carnivore like myself. You’ll enjoy your meal.
