Zuuk Mediterranean, Miami-Brickell

Great Fast-Casual Mediterranean

The Facts:

CUISINE: Greek / Mediterranean – Fast Casual

LOCATION:1250 S Miami Ave, Suite 05, Miami, Florida

WEBSITE: Zuuk

This is the Mediterranean / Greek version of the Moe’s / Chipotle concept and it’s really really good! It happened to be right around the corner from our hotel, the Hampton Inn, Brickell and we were looking for a lighter dinner option. So glad we found Zuuk.

You start with a base, rice bowl, pita wrap or salad greens. Then you add up to three dips. Then a protein along with toppings and end it all with the dressing of your choice.

My wife is a vegetarian and she went with the rice bowl base, added the baba ganoush and hummus, the falafels, toppings and the spicy harissa sauce to top it off. According to her, it was not all that spicy, she would consider it medium. She does eat a lot of spicy sauces and food.

I went with the power greens salad base, added baba ganoush and hummus as well, the spiced lamb kefte, toppings and went with the sumac-citrus dressing. The bowl was very good, however the lamb was a bit old and dry. The dressing and dips made up for the lack of moisture in the lamb, but the next time I go, I’ll opt for the slow roasted beef or the chicken as those both looked incredible. The dry lamb is what stopped me from giving Zuuk 5 points instead of 4.

I’ll also mention the Boylan’s Cane Sugar Crafted Fountain Soda was awesome. I went with the Lemon-Lime and it was a really really good version of that soda. Nice touch to have a craft soda instead of the national brands, much more flavorful.

Would highly recommend Zuuk for lunch or dinner.
